Slims Chicken 

Slims Chicken is located in Victoria square, although this is a franchise so there are other locations in Belfast. This location is perfect for post shopping food. 

Slims Chicken is self service, so you order and pay off a screen, then go up to the counter for cups. You seat yourself at whatever free table and are provided with a kitchen roll but no cutlery. There isn't much to go off for customer service but the staff are friendly at the counter and take the food to your table, as you provide a number when ordered and take a number sign to your table. 

Unfortunately none of my vegetarian housemates where available to come with me. However I checked for vegetarian options for when they decide to visit, I showed them when I got home and they where shocked there was an option as it is a chicken place and said they will give it a try in the future. 

 

I ordered the 3 buffalo wings, 3 chicken tenders, fries and garlic toast with the 2 sauces options I chose buffalo and slims sauce. My housemate chose the 5 chicken tender meal which included fries and garlic toast and for the 2 sauces they got the slims sauce and ranch sauce. The chips where crispy, the seasoning was perfect, the skin on the fries also made it more aesthetically pleasing. We both agreed the chicken tenders where delicious and would come back again just for them, the outside was crispy and perfectly cooked on the inside. The garlic toast was something I haven't tried before, I was not disappointed however not overly impressed either, they where just mediocre. The buffalo wings I got where not impressive, I ate 2 out of the 3 I got, they where quite spicy and the buffalo sauce was far too oily, it felt like barely any was sticking to the chicken and didn't taste very good, was just an overwhelming spice. My housemate thought the Slims sauce was "just beautiful" personally I wasn't overly impressed and much preferred the ranch sauce and would next time get double the ranch as I finished it all. Overall I would give them a 3.5/5 as the buffalo wings really let me down and I wasn't overly impressed with the Slims sauce, my housemate would give them a 4.5/5 and would definitely return for the chicken tenders.
